Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Sooner Tech LLC dba Freshly Kept (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our service at freshlykept.app and app.freshlykept.app (the “Service”).

Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address. If you sign in with Apple, we receive the identifier Apple provides and the email you authorize.

Content you upload. Photos of groceries, receipts, and the items and expiration dates they contain. We store this content in our hosted database (Supabase) and transiently send photos to Anthropic’s Claude API for analysis.

Payment information. If you subscribe, Stripe collects your payment details directly. We do not see or store your card number; we only receive a Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and billing events.

Device and usage data. Basic logs of your interactions with the Service (pages viewed, features used, errors) for debugging and product improvement. If you enable push notifications, we store the push token issued by Apple or Google for your device.

How we use information
To provide the Service — parsing your photos, tracking expiration, suggesting recipes, and sending notifications.
To process payments and manage your subscription through Stripe.
To respond to your support requests.
To improve the Service using aggregate, de-identified analytics.
To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.

Third-party processors
We share information only with the processors required to operate the Service:

Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage.
Stripe — payment processing and subscription management.
Anthropic — AI image and text analysis. Uploaded photos are sent for processing; per Anthropic’s API terms, API inputs are not used to train their models.
Vercel — website and web-app hosting.
Apple Push Notification Service / Google Firebase Cloud Messaging / Expo — delivery of push notifications to your device.
Data retention
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and the associated data at any time from the Settings screen in the app, or by emailing us. Backups of deleted data may persist for up to 30 days.

Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing hello@freshlykept.app. If you reside in the EEA, UK, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA including the right to data portability and to object to processing. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

Children
Freshly Kept is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information, including TLS in transit and encryption at rest through our hosting providers. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced by email or an in-app notice at least 7 days before they take effect. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
